Hacienda Ducaet is a daughter of Massimo (V. Cassini I) and Trees (V. Lys de Darmen).

On her mother's side, Hacienda Ducaet descends from Lys de Darmen, one of the best bloodlines in the history of the Belgian Warmblood Studbook (BWP). Lys de Darmen was therefore highly appreciates by Ambassador BWP and thus entered the gallery of the greatest in the BWP studbook.

In sports, she was very successful at CSI level under the saddle of Sanna Olsson (Sweden).

In 2017 she was sold to the USA.

A hacienda is a large estate in Latin America. Localy it is also referred to as " estancias " or " fincas ". Haciendas are mainly concerned with cattle breeding,  but in places where it is profitable also with agriculture, mining and forestry. The haciendas were created after the Spanish conquest. The Spanish Crown donated tracts of land to the conquistadors. They were given the right to let the native population work for them.
